Metal Building Insulation
Faced fiberglass blanket, banded liner systems, and closed-cell foam for pre-engineered steel.

An uninsulated pre-engineered metal building in Florida is a solar oven with a condensation problem. The roof skin hits 160 degrees, radiates straight down onto your product and your people, and then at night the underside of that same skin drops below the dew point of the humid air inside and rains on your inventory.
Industrial insulation solves both at once, and in a distribution or manufacturing setting the payback math is usually measured in a couple of seasons, not decades.
For pre-engineered steel we install faced fiberglass blanket over purlins, banded liner systems, thermal block systems that break the metal-to-metal conduction path at the purlin, and closed-cell spray foam applied directly to the underside of the deck when you want air sealing and condensation control in a single pass.
Which one is right depends on whether the space is conditioned, what the ceiling height is, whether you need a finished-looking liner, and what your budget looks like. We'll price two or three approaches side by side rather than pushing the one with the best margin.
Cold storage is unforgiving. Any thermal bridge becomes a frost point, any vapor barrier gap becomes an ice lens inside the panel, and any failure gets expensive fast because the product inside is worth more than the building.
We install continuous vapor-tight assemblies, detail the transitions carefully, and coordinate closely with the refrigeration contractor so the insulation line and the vapor line agree with each other.
Boilers, tanks, steam and condensate lines, chilled water, process piping, ductwork, and equipment housings. Calcium silicate, mineral wool, cellular glass, elastomeric, and aerogel systems with aluminum, stainless, or PVC jacketing depending on the environment.
On the coast, jacket selection matters more than most specs acknowledge — salt air eats through inadequate jacketing and then the insulation underneath gets wet and stops working.
Industrial fire separations, structural steel protection, and rated shaft enclosures all have to be built to the exact listed assembly. We keep the listing documentation with the crew, install to it, and hand the inspector the paperwork.
