Most older Florida block homes have little or nothing in the walls. Furring-strip foil systems and injected foam make a real difference in west- and south-facing walls that bake all afternoon.
The majority of Florida homes are concrete block. Block has almost no meaningful R-value — around R-0.2 per inch. In a typical older block home, the wall assembly is: block, furring strips, drywall, and air. A west-facing wall in that configuration is radiating heat into the room until well after sunset.
Furring-strip reflective systems and injected foam both work in that cavity, install from the interior, and don't cost you floor space.
For wood-frame walls with empty cavities, dense-pack cellulose injected through small access holes fills the cavity completely, including around wiring and blocking, and provides real air-leakage reduction as well as R-value. Holes get patched and painted. It's a one-day job for most homes and it's dramatically less invasive than people expect.
For new builds we install to the approved energy calculation — batt, blown-in-blanket, or spray foam in the cavity, plus continuous exterior insulation where the assembly calls for it. Continuous exterior insulation is the single most effective wall improvement available because it breaks the thermal bridge through every stud, and studs are typically 20 to 25 percent of a wall's area.
Wall insulation that was bought for energy reasons almost always gets appreciated for acoustic reasons. Interior walls between bedrooms, around bathrooms, and around home offices are inexpensive to insulate during construction and impossible to appreciate until you've lived in a house without it.

Wall Insulation pricing varies with square footage, access, existing conditions, and whether removal is required first. Most Florida projects fall in the $1.50–$5.00 per square foot installed range. Standard Insulation provides free written, itemized estimates statewide — call (561) 975-6204.
R-4.1 to R-21 depending on wall type. In Florida's Climate Zone 1 attic assemblies must reach R-30, and in Climate Zone 2 R-38, with R-49 a common practical target, and we'll size the assembly to hit your code requirement or your performance goal.
